Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage at the treatment room is a diagnostic and therapeutic treatment that involves muscle manipulation to release existing tension. It uses pressure, slow deep strokes and friction across the muscles. It is used to relieve pain, stimulate circulation and loosen trigger points.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a deep tissue remedial massage that works muscles individually rather than

in large groups.

Sports massage was designed for athletes, but is useful for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range-of-motion issues. The treatment was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasises prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons. It is great for muscle injury treatment but you don't have to be in the Olympics to benefit from this treatment. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. At the treatment room we use sports massage for people who exercise at any level and incorporate deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and frictions to work on scar tissue and tight painful muscles.

There are four types of sports massages:

Muscle pain, back pain, neck pain, remedial massage
